Gravity Roller Conveyor

Unpowered Pitched Conveyor

A Gravity roller conveyor is a non-powered conveyor for use with cartons, cases, plastic totes, pallets or other goods.  They are used to transport items either on a level or pitched line. Products must have a flat bottom for best results – the rule of thumb is that the product should contact 3 rollers at all times for smooth movement.

Benefits of Gravity Roller Conveyors:

  • Reduced Energy Consumption: Non-powered operation minimizes energy costs.
  • Low Maintenance: Simple design reduces maintenance requirements and downtime.
  • Easy Installation and Configuration: Modular design allows for flexible system layouts.
  • Improved Material Flow: Streamlined product movement enhances efficiency and productivity.
  • Cost Savings: Lower initial investment and operational costs.

Applications of Gravity Roller Conveyors:

  • Warehousing and distribution centers.
  • Packaging and assembly lines.
  • Shipping and receiving areas.
  • Order fulfillment operations.
  • Material handling in various industries.

When seeking a cost-effective and reliable solution for material handling, gravity roller conveyors offer a significant advantage. Their simple design, versatile product handling, and low maintenance requirements make them an ideal choice for optimizing product flow and reducing operational costs.

Key Features:

Gravity Roller Conveyors are the most inexpensive style of conveyor and are sized for each applications.  Typical roller sizes are from 1-3/8″ diameter to 2-1/2″ diameter.  Rollers can be set at different centerlines depending upon size and load.  They are used in a variety of applications from receiving through manufacturing and shipping processes.
