Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Souderton, PA

Department: Supply Chain

Group: Inventory Control

Reports to: Inventory and Logistics Supervisor

 

Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Pulling materials and staging for production on a project basis.
  • Maintain organization, control, and end to end ownership of assigned jobs.
  • Clear communication with team members regarding job status.
  • Work hand in hand with production
  • Inventory movement throughout shop as needed.
  • Perform daily cycle counts.

 

Safety

  • Ensure all applicable regulatory standards are met with regards to loss prevention, accident investigation, OSHA compliance.      
  • Works with team members to actively improve safety of the plant.
  • Ensures that workshop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material.
  • Ensure safety action items are completed accurately and timely.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Participates in CI initiatives and activities. (5S events, Kaizen events, weekly CIP meetings, Root Cause Investigations, and improvement projects)
  • Work with team members to provide input to improve process and workspaces.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Experience working in a project-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a team and across different departments.
  • Reliability
  • Good time management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years Microsoft Office
  • 1+ years working in ERP system
  • Strong communication skills
