We are looking for an experienced and driven Controls Engineering Manager to lead and manage our team of highly skilled controls engineers. NCC is a 35-year-old company that provides integrated solutions for food and consumer products manufacturers. General Description of Duties

The Controls Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Controls Engineering and Electrical Manufacturing teams. Must possess strong leadership and communication skills to be successful within this critical part of our business. Must be a technical resource for their team members while also ensuring that we are meeting customer commitments and meeting all project milestones.


Key Results Areas:

  • Lead, manage, and hold people accountable.
  • Schedule all work & resources to ensure commitments to customers (internal & external) are met.
  • Vet vendors and build strong vendor relationships to support workload, as required.
  • Achieve consistent gross project gross profit margins that meet or beats expectations.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts within the team. Lead team with continuous improvement mindset, encourage ideas and exploration to continue growth & improvement within the company.
  • Maintain controls estimating tools and support Sales & Applications team during the quoting process.


Skill Requirements:

  • Strong Controls Engineering Background
  • Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Leadership
  • Automation system knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve success


Ideal Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience managing a team
  • 5+ years in Control Engineering role
  • Experience in food and packaging
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with industrial controls (Allen Bradley, programming, AutoCAD electrical, servo motion control)
