Job Summary

It is important that our System Assembly Team have good people willing to work hard in a team environment.

Assembly Technicians are responsible for preparation, assembly, testing and installing our conveyors and systems.

We are counting on the assembly technician to keep work on schedule.   This will allow our team to make our commitments to our customers.

The Assembly Technician needs to have open communication with the Assembly Team Lead, other technicians and managers about work status and due dates. Accurate and timely information allow us to manage a dynamic and fast paced business to make sure we meet all our commitments.

Being the last employees to touch the project before the customer receives it, it is vital to maintain a high level of quality.

The Assembly Technician will be working in the shop as well as in the field during installations. Our team members need to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner not just in the shop with other team members but also with customers and vendors. You are the face of NCC and people will remember that after you have left.

It is very important to realize that in a Project driven company, we run into unexpected technical challenges, changes in schedule and sometimes scope, that will require extreme flexibility, teamwork and creativity to help solve challenges as they develop.

This position reports to the System Team Leader.

This is an hourly position.

 

Duties and Job Responsibilities

  1. The Assembly Technician responsibilities will include but not limited to:

                                   -conveyors and sub-assemblies

                                  - devices

                                   - covers/guards/supports

                                   - other equipment that the company designs or sells

  1. Perform assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
  2. Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly and adjusting products as required.
  3. Keep a clean work area.
  4. Communicates with the team leader or manager to resolve any issues that impact the timing or quality of a product.
  5. Travel as required for project installations.
  6. Follow good manufacturing practices for safety and ergonomics.
  7. Assisting in the Fabrication Dept.
  8. Maintain a positive attitude at work and in vendors facilities.
  9. Share ideas with Team Leader and managers to improve processes.
  10. Perform general maintenance in the facility as directed by the Systems Team Leader.

Skill Requirements

  • Positive attitude and a hard worker
  • Ability to use power tools in a safe manner
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Ability to travel for installation work
