Applications Engineer –

General Description of Duties:

This position is for our business unit SideDrive Conveyor Co. The Applications Engineer supports the business with system layouts, estimates, proposals, launch and kickoff meeting content; and serves as a liaison in the sales process when complex and technical equipment or services are involved. This position will constantly be challenged to meet the demands of our customers. It requires consistent and solid judgment skills, balancing accuracy, and response time, both of which are critically important to the success of the position. It also requires creativity and strong communication skills.

Required Skills:

  • Mechanical engineering background; some electrical and installation a plus
  • AutoCAD; SolidWorks a plus
  • Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve success


Ideal Experience:

  • 5 years in a technical role in conveyance or material handling projects
  • Pricing and Proposals
  • Knowledge of conveyance equipment and packaging systems (mechanical and electrical)
  • Food manufacturing and sanitary applications
