Accumulation / Serpentine Tables
FILO (First In - Last Out product flow) and FIFO (First In - First Out product flow) refer to the relative manner in which the flow of product is managed while in accumulation.
Most conventional means of off line accumulation are considered relative FILO accumulation systems ie. bi-directional accumulation tables or mass flow switch back accumulation.
Products that require batch lot tracking or tracked quality control would be candidates for FIFO accumulation ie. zoned uni-directional accumulation tables.
